George in his natural habitat

Happy Halloween Gorgers!

Halloween is here again gorgers so today is the day that I finally reveal my latest costume. Last year's Gorilla costume was hard to beat. I decided to repeat last years successful animal theme but I have purposely stayed away from anything monkey or monkey-related to avoid the usual "all primate all the time" criticisms. Lets face it, that's what the public expects me to do and I am nothing if not unpredictable.

This year I am exploring my love of all things pachyderm-ish with this delightful elephant ensemble complete with trunk and tusks. At first I hated it, but Mom and Dad have been bribing me with cookies to wear it. Not a bad deal really. Wear the silly head piece for half an hour...get three cookies. Apparently this deal also extends to the neighbours. Dad is taking me out tonight for something called 'trick-or-treating' and I am told that in exchange for the chance to see me dressed like an elephant, and the general agreement that I will not 'trick' them, the neighbours will handsomely reward me with piles of candy. This Halloween thing is a pretty good deal.

Happy Halloween

Haircut 100

Hi everyone,

One of the comments on my last Gorge entry suggested that I get a haircut because I was beginning to look like the person who left said comment. While I never quite made it to the ponytail stage, it is true that in the past few weeks my Dad has been told by more than one person that he had a very cute little girl.

Luckily, my grampy Pete is an amateur barbering enthusiast. Apparently he used to cut my Dad's hair (which came as a surprise to me considering I have only known him in his post-hair years). Anyway, Grampy Pete was nice enough to give me a trim, although I will have to wait a few more years for the shave. Here are some before and after pics so you can see my stylish new look.

Before:

Here I am with my extra long musician's hair.

After:

Here I am post-haircut, although this was taken a week or two after the event and my hair, like the rest of me, grows ridiculously fast. I think it looks good paird with the old man sweater and the women's flats.

Fun with Nana and Grampy Pete

Hi Gorgers,

Recently I was lucky enough to have my second visit with the grandparents in one season. This time it was Nana and Grampy Pete. I had lots of fun showing them all my toys and my new tricks and they had fun trying to keep up with me.

Here we all are at the Raven's Run conservation area just before a hike.

The trails were not entirely stroller friendly, but Grampy Pete managed to muscle through it and I didn't have to lift a finger.

After a while I got bored of riding around in luxury in my Chariot Carrier so I decided to go for a run, but all that excercise was exhausting so I let Grampy Pete carry me the rest of the way

Here are some pictures from Shaker Village. We went for the animals but stayed for the leaves. Everyone says the lunch was pretty good too, but I'm still not sure about those olives.

The Shakers had just raked up all these leaves so I took advantage of the situation and spent lots of time rolling around in them.

Here I am with Nana inspecting Shaker staircase technology. Not bad Shakers!

Most of the time they were here, Nana, Grampy Pete and I played outside in the backyard. Here I am with our neighbour Rebecca's new pupply, Clarence.

He's a nice dog, but he likes to nip the back of my jacket and he doesn't seem to understand ho wthe slide works.

So long for now gorgers! See you soon.

Big day!

I'm a little late here gorgers but I couldn't let the day go by without wishing my Dad a big happy birthday! Me and him have some good times and who knows what we'll get up to over the next year?

Also, a big birthday wish goes out to my Aunt Isla who has the distinction of being the only other birthday my dad can remember, aside from his own. I think that's because they share.

Love George

You're number one! You're number one!

A big happy birthday wish goes out to my cousin Taleigh who turns the big 01 today. It's hard to believe it's already been a whole year. Earlier today, she was forced to listen to my parents tunelessly sing Happy Birthday to her over the phone. Sorry about that, cuz. I'm sure you were super impressed. Ha, ha, that's called sarcasm.

Love ya! George
