Thanksgiving in the park

Last week was US Thanksgiving, but because of some obscure religous conflict Mom and Dad celebrate Thanksgiving in October. Weird. Anyway, becuase the rest of the country was celebrating Thanksgiving last week Dad had a few days off from work. The weather was pretty crummy most of the weekend, but it was nice on Thanksgiving day so we all went on an outing to the park.

The slides and swings are ok, but what I really want todo is get at that skate park. Maybe Santa will bring me a skateboard. Dad says he used to have a skateboard. I didn't know they had skateboards in olden times.

George, you DEFINITELY want to play in the skateboard park. It is some of the most fun you will ever have! Your parents my try to persuade you that it isnt really that much fun, but do not listen to them! If they persist, you can always come back and stay with "uncle" paul, and I'll take ya to the skate park here in CoMo.

Oh, and yes, they had skateboards back in olden times, but they were just 2X4's nailed to old roller skates with clay wheels. Not nearly as much fun as what is available now.

Hey George. Love those pictures of you in the park, especially #3, which shows off the dinosaur (oops, that's a squirrel) on your jacket. It's now the background on my monitors at work. Looks like your parents are getting good with that new camera!
