Le George plays Lacrosse

Hey there gorgers,

For as long as I can remember Mom and Dad have been telling me about this Canada place where everything is bigger, colder and comes with doughnuts. As it turns out Canada's official game is Lacrosse and not, as you might suspect, hockey. Dad and I went to Walmart today to buy a mop and when we saw this sweet lacrosse set, well, we just couldn't resist the temptation even if it is for kids 5+. My new favourite word is "ball" so any activity that combines balls with my other main interest, sticks, is fine by me. Remember, if you're going to play lacrosse then you should always wear protective headgear like this stetson. It doesn't have to be red like mine, although that is the colour of the cowboy hats worn by lacrosse players from Salmon Arm B.C. to Gander Newfoundland.

Hey George, you're looking a lot like your athletic Aunt Meredith. Except I think when she was your age she had shorter hair.

It looks like you are a natural with that lacrosse stick George! I can't wait until you figure out how to fire the ball through one of those many windows in your play room. However, you have a long way to go to catch up to the "broken window" records established by your father and his brothers, not to mention the odd lamp!

you're a natural, George! Good to see you are sticking to your Canadian roots and didn't get a football. I'd be happy to give a few pointers next time we get together. There's a pesky woodpecker making holes in nana and grampy pete's house that would make great target practice!

How did your mom react to dad's purchase? Did your mom practice her swing on your father? hehe...

Hey George, lacrosse is a pretty fun sport. You'll have to pick up Louisiana's sport when you come to visit...shooting guns. Kids start young down here so you'll fit right in! Bring the cowboy hat too, it looks good on you.
