Well, today was the day. The D-day of one year birthday celebrations. I started the day with my customary bottle of formula, but followed that up with some sweet blueberry pancakes. My mom even gave me a bite of some of hers which had something called "maple syrup". It may be hard to believe, but they were even better with this "maple syrup".
After breakfast I played with some of my birthday presents while the folks cleaned up and got ready to go to the zoo.
The zoo was great. we saw all kinds of animals, and lots of primates (I wonder why...).
Lunch was even better than breakfast. Have you heard about these "French Fries" ? I only had four, but man were they good. Why the hell have I been eating formula for six months?
After lunch we saw more cool animals. I especially liked the hippos. I have a book at home called "Hippos Go Berserk" although these hippos were just slightly excited.
When we got home my folks presented me with a caterpillar cake. They allowed me to have one cup cake and the rest seem to have mysteriously disappeared. I bet Dad knows where they are. Mom is pleading the fifth. To get back at them I made a considerable mess. I thought they would be mad, but they filmed the whole thing and seemed to find it amusing. After a full year of cohabitation I am still no closer to understanding the behaviour of these "parents".
George out.

what better way to celebrate your birthday than going to the zoo, followed by shoving blue icing up your nose!
Keep your stick on the ice!
WOW George...it looks like you had a fun birthday. Congrats on turning the big 1. Also, good work with your film crew. It's hard to get good help these days so I would hang on them!
Much Love from your Nana Deane's much younger sister
