Staying up late and getting blurry eyed

I was teething and couldn't sleep last night so while waiting for the Tylenol to kick in, my mom and dad let me stay up, eat Cheerios and watch the Office on tv with them. I had some fun bouncing on the couch. I move so fast you can hardly see me... I'm like the Flash.

Happy Leap Day!

First hair cut!

Gimme a head with hair
Long beautiful hair
Shining, gleaming,
Streaming, flaxen, waxen

Give me down to there hair
Shoulder length or longer
Here baby, there mama
Everywhere daddy daddy

Hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair
Flow it, show it
Long as God can grow it
My hair

I'll admit gorgers, my hair was getting a bit unwieldy but I didn't think we had to resort to this. But daddy and mama didn't listen to me and I got a trim around the ears. Here are the results.
I must say, mom did a much better job than dad... his side was a pretty straight edge (shown above). Not to mention that I came to the stark realization that if my parents continue forcing me along this style trajectory of only having the sides trimmed while letting the back grow wild and free, I will end up with a baby mullet. You know, business in the front, party in the back?
Mom and dad just don't get me. I'm party all around, baby!

Happy Birthday Annika!

In my previous entry, I posted pictures of my playdate with Annika. Well I received an exclusive invite to her first birthday party and today was the big event. And I'm happy to report I had a wonderful time!

We went to an indoor play centre and there was an area just for little kids like me. I had a great time standing up and checking out what all the big kids were doing. I even went down the slide.

Before playing, we hung around in a party room where we there was cake...
... and I even got a piece! My first one.
Annika really enjoyed her piece of cake, too!

Here's a picture of me and the birthday girl.

Happy birthday Annika!

And gorgers, there's another new entry below this one so don't forget to scroll down for more pictures of yours truly.

The week that was

Ah, gorgers, my apologies... I haven't been feeling well and we've been busy around the household so I've been neglectful of my online friends. To make it up to you, this is part one of two extra long entries.

Last weekend, my friend Annika popped by for a playdate. She spent some time checking out my toys and a lot of time trying to climb the stairs. Not to be outdone, I started climbing the stairs myself soon after. She was also a big fan of B.L....that's Beige Lightning.

Dog... woof, woof... some of the few words Annika says. It served her well with B.L.
Like me, Annika cares little for toys when there are cupboards and a reflective stove to look at. Fun!

Earlier that day, my Mom, Dad and I took a walk and I had my first experience with the park. Here I am looking pensive and taking it all in at the top of the slide right before I took the plunge (or got a push). I had hoped there would be swings but no such luck but I took my chances on the slide and didn't mind it too much.

And at the end of a long day, I still enjoy a warm, relaxing soak in the tub.

George hits the town

Last evening, I had the opportunity to hit the local pub with a couple of buddies of mine - Logan and Enzo. (Oh, right, and some lame adults also tagged along to supervise.)

I had the distinction of being probably the messiest and grossest person in the restaurant. Carrots, bread, broccoli... it ended up all over me, the floor, as well as water, coasters, etc. Well, you get the picture.
Speaking of pictures, here are some of our night out.

(Ursa and Enzo)

(Dad, me, Logan and Rebecca)

(Seth and Logan)

My social calendar is filling up. After my night out, I have a play date (key word: date) with my friend Annika this weekend. Stay tuned!

Happy Birthday Uncle Garrett!

Gorgers...you can relax. Your eyes aren't playing tricks on you. That really is me (7 months ago!) with my uncle Garrett who turns 29 today. That's not quite as old as my dad, but it sure is old. Now that he is a math teacher maybe he can teach me to count that high. Happy birthday Garrett!

Seething from the Teething

Intrepid Gorgers,

An update on my dental development...My premolars are finally pushing through and as you can imagine I have been a bit out of sorts lately. I spend a lot of time chewing my hands, my sleeve, my toys and anything else that will fit in my mouth. I have been particularly cranky in the evenings when I'm supposed to be going to bed. Luckily my trusty stuffed dog, Beige Lightening, is my constant companion and a source of comfort. He never leaves my bedside (not that he could...he's stuffed).

I have to admit, however, that sometimes my teething pains are so severe that even Beige Lightening's loyal companionship isn't enough. Unfortuanately Dad doesn't like to share the good stuff. Oh well, he doesn't know I goobered all over his bottle. Sucker.

More hair raising adventures

Not much new but I'm continuing to get around... pulling myself up, falling down, crawling, climbing up stairs. It's great.

Sometimes, though, I do need to break for some nourishment.
And then I'm on the go again!

But no matter how busy you are, it's always important to look good. I'm getting more hair and it's fun to play with. You don't need expensive product or a fancy hairstylist. You can do it yourself with a chunk of banana, like I did. That's how I got this fabulous style. I'm pretty punk rock, especially with the sock monkey pajamas.
