Happy Halloween Gorgers!!!!

A spooky All Hallow's Eve to y'all! The great mystery has been revealed and you can see now that I am a majestic gorilla for my first Halloween. It's a scary costume, too. Did you know that gorillas are highly endangered? It's true.

Anyway, here's me with a Halloween pumpkin. We're going to carve it up tonight.

While I'm too young for trick-or-treating, I'll be celebrating Halloween in my own way by webcamming (in costume) with some of my people this evening.

Have a happy Halloween folks!

I come from the land of the ice and snow.....Ahhhhhhhhhhh Ahhh!

What a week!

Greetings gorgers! Long time, no blog, I know. But I've had a busy week with my Nana and Grampa visiting. What's going on with me? Well, everything. Man, where do I start?

First off, I can officially sit on my own with no support whatsoever for long stretches of time. This has greatly enhanced my playing and exploring abilities so it's working out well for me, obviously.

I also continue to try many new foods. New on the list, banana. Um, what the hell? Here's a picture of me trying bananas for the first time. Clearly, I was unimpressed but I'm getting used to them. On a brighter note, I tried squash which I love, almost as much as sweet potatoes. All the best food is bright orange, that's what I say. Next on my agenda, apples. I'll keep you posted.

I'm also getting a new high chair. Thanks to Nana and Grampa for this! FedEx tracking tells me it should be arriving on Thursday.

Nana and Grampa's visit meant many new clothes and toys for me. You can see me modelling some of my new threads in some of these pictures. You can also see me in the picture below showing off my propensity for banging and my newfound musical genius on my alligator xylophone. It's a hit, although nothing yet tops my telephone.

I had a great week at home with my Nana and Grampa. Here are some picture of us before heading off to homecoming. We all had fun and although I miss them, I know I'll be seeing them again soon at Christmas.

Tomorrow is my first Halloween. Be sure to check the 'Gorge' for all the spooky news and to see me in my costume.

Eye of the tiger

Yesterday I went to the Missouri Tigers homecoming game with my mom and dad and Grampa and Nana. Although it was quite hot and we spent a lot of time in the sun, I had a good time at the pre-game tailgate party and at the game itself. Missouri beat the Texas Tech raiders in a decisive victory. To protect my cute little ears from the deafening roar of the 60,000 + crowd, three marching bands, two cheerleading squads and two football teams (not to mention the army cannon that gets fired after every Tiger touchdown), my mom bought me some protective ear-phones. I may have looked like a helicopter weather man, but they got the job done. Note my tiger t-shirt and yellow undershirt and pants...Missouri colours! The only thing that confuses me is the team cheer...M-I-Zee.....Zee-O-U. I don't kinow why they say Zee. My dad says it is pronounced Zed. Silly midwesterners.

They blinded me with science!

This is a short video from a psychology experiment I participated in a few weeks back. The goal of the study was to see how excited I would get when it would appear that a large object was able to fit inside a smaller object. They used some smoke and mirrors to make this happen, and although I seem pretty exited at times, it was mostly because I just felt like bouncing.

I have a new cousin!

My cousin, Taleigh Louise, was born on October 3. Congrats to my Uncle Garrett and Aunt Isla on a beautiful baby.

Here are some pictures. I gotta say, when it comes to cute grandchildren, Grampy Pete and Nana have really hit the jackpot.

Taleigh, you and I are going to tear it up for years to come. Can't wait!

Welcome, Taleigh. I'm so happy you're here!

Love George

Happy Birthday Daddy!

I do lots of birthday shout-outs on my blog but how could I forget the most important one of all? My Dad.

What can I say? He's great at cuddling, always makes me laugh and just fun to hang out with. An all around great guy and the best dad any one could ask for.

Happy birthday dad. I love you lots.

Also, happy birthday to my Aunt Isla who shares a birthday with my dad. She's certainly busy with my new cousin, Taleigh. I hope she has a great and relaxing day!

George is left holding the bag... of sweet potatoes

My diapers are about to get a heck of a lot more interesting. Today I had my first taste of veggies. Sweet potatoes to be precise. Reaction? Loved them.

We started our day by visiting the local farmer's market where we picked up our fresh produce, including my sweet potatoes. We also made a stop at the mall to pick a few things up. You'll notice I'm doing all the heavy lifting in both photos.
My mom prepared my sweet potatoes this afternoon and I tried it for my dinner. My parents weren't expecting much since it was my first try but I gobbled up my entire helping. The only time I made a face is when they gave me a spoonful of oatmeal after my sweet, sweet potatoes. That stuff is crap compared to that bright orange deliciousness. Luckily, my mom made lots so I'll be enjoying my new favourite food every day.

I'm also including another silly photo of me and dad. We were practicing being Zen.

To all my Canadian fans, have a happy Thanksgiving and enjoy the long weekend!

Hey Ho, Let's Go....Jumping

Gabba Gabba Hey...Hey Ho! Lets Go!

Birthday wishes and appointment dishes

A big birthday wish goes out to my great-Nana Stewart who turns 90 years old today. Here's wishing her a wonderful day. Sorry I can't be there but I know my Nana Deane is around and will give her a big hug and kiss from George.

I also wanted to dish on my 6 month appointment this morning. Here's the scoop:

  • Weight - 14 pounds, 4 ounces. I'm back on the charts baby! Still in the fifth percentile.
  • Height - 26 inches and in the 25th percentile!
  • Head circumference - 43 cm to hold my big brain. Again, in the 25th percentile.

I also got a couple of shots and I was not impressed. However, my doctor says I'm doing really well. I'm healthy, happy (except about those shots) and developmentally on track. Yay!
