My weekend

My weekend was pretty relaxed and we didn't do too much - just spent time together as a family. The funnest part of the weekend is when we visited our friends the Lenarts last night for dinner. Mom and dad enjoyed a delicious dinner (I enjoyed a bottle of milk, as usual) and we all had a wonderful time. I especially had fun with my friend Enzo.

Also, for all of those worried out there about me not being a Leafs fan, my Nana and Grampa Norman bought me a Leafs bomber jacket they found. A little big for me but one day I'll wear it. Don't worry, I have room in my heart for both teams!

Finally, I'm nine weeks old today. So let's take a look back. Here's a link to some photos taken of me in the hospital on their Web nursery. If you're prompted for a password, it's Deane. Hope it works!

Snake on a window

A couple of weeks ago my daddy looked outside and saw a huge snake on our patio. It hung around awhile and even tried climbing up our window. Some investigation online showed it was a rat snake... not poisonous. However, now we think it's living around our house since we've seen it twice since then. I've posted a photo. I would estimate the snake at 3.5 feet. Much bigger than me.

Success!

So far my blog seems to be a smashing success and I've received lots of positive comments from everyone. Keep the comments coming. I love hearing from all my friends!

Memorial Day is Monday so my mom and dad have a three-day weekend. We don't have too much planned except on Monday we're going to a BBQ with our friends the Lenart family. We're all looking forward to that. Aside from that, we'll probably just be hanging out, maybe going for a nature walk. I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Welcome to my blog.

I have so many family and friends from all over the place, I've decided to start a blog about me to keep everyone posted on what's going on with me and my parents, Andrew and Christine. I'm too small to type so I'll be dictating to my mom or dad. They'll try to keep updating 'The George Gorge' every day or two, however they can be a little lazy sometimes so please bear with them.

Big news happening with me this week:

  • My mommy went back to work. I think she's more sad about it than I am. I have a nice babysitter who plays with me. Yesterday, we listened to my favourite record, 'Peter and the Wolf.'

  • One of my favourite hockey teams, the Ottawa Senators, made it into the Stanley Cup finals, handily defeating the Buffalo Sabres. They will be playing the Anaheim Mighty Ducks. If I was a little bigger, I'd be wearing my Senators jersey, a present from my mommy's friend Bernadette. I'll be cheering hard for the Senators in the coming finals. GO SENS GO!

  • I'm usually too cool for toys but my parents keep sticking me on this playmat thing so I decided to humour them and started batting at the ladybug hanging in my face this week. Exciting stuff.

That's all for now. Keep checking back for all my news!
