Snakes in my room

Dad and I put a rubber snake under my pajamas. Mom found it. Enough said.

Another day, another zoo

Normally after a bad experience like our last zoo trip I would be hesitant to go back to the zoo so soon, but Dad and I had to go to the Louisville Zoo on Tuesday to pick up a monkey. We didn't stay too long, but Dad's friend is the head zoo veterinarian and he has an all access pass to the cool exhibits so we were luck to get the VIP tour. He took us to see the White Rhinos and I got to feed one of them hay and even touched a rhino horn! Better yet, I got to be close up and personal with a 3 year old elephant calf who likes jelly beans. It was lots of fun and Dad and I enjoyed not having to look at the animals from a distance. We also saw camels, giraffes and lions, although I had no direct contact with the lions. I roared at them and they all ran into their indoor enclosures. I guess all the practice roaring really has paid off. - G.

Zoo diaries

The weekend before last Mom, Dad, Oscar and I went to the Cincinnati zoo. While even a bad day at the zoo is better than a good day doing something else, this trip was a bit of a disaster from the start. The stroller wheel exploded so Mom and Dad had to carry Oscar and me all over the zoo. To make matters worse we forgot the snacks when we ditched the broken stroller at the ticket window. Mom was disappointed that her favourite exhibit, manatee world, was 'under construction' and then I did my passing out schtick at the Gibbon world exhibit. All the same, it was a trip to the zoo and we saw a lot of cool stuff. Here are some pictures of our trip.

Occupying myself and others

A lot of days I am busy with school, conference calls and writing my memoirs, but somedays I need a distraction, and it turns out I am not the only one. Lately I have been into 'arts and craps'. Here I am exploring the limits of my new favourite medium - glue.

Oscar spends a lot of his day watching me do things

So I figured if he was going to watch me I might as well make it entertaining. Lately I have been trying out a whole new batch of silly faces trying to make Oscar smile. Most of them seem to do the trick.

random videos

Here are some random videos of day to day things.

Here I am walking to school with my buddy Josh

Here I am trying to hot wire a tractor at Lowes

Lately I am really into playing in the sink with my cars. I don't like washing my hands, but I like this, inconsistent as that is.

Eating Indian food with my buddy Oscar (He watched, I ate)

Doing my best Pirate impression ("Lets go find some teasure, arrrgggghhh mateys")

Another Build and Grow workshop at Lowes. This time I built a miniature basketball net. I was so into it I didn't even notice that I was upside down for the first 30 seconds.

The Game

It may not have been on the CBC, but we watched the game on NBC. Here are the pics of Mom, Dad, Oscar and I cheering on Team Canada. Too bad Grampy Pete missed it.
