Hello gorgers,

Recently some old friends of my parents and my Nana and Grampy Pete, the Coreas, passed through COMO (that's the cool way to say Columbia Missouri) and took my Dad and I out for breakfast. Apparently they knew my Dad way back when he wasn't all grown-up yet. Here are a couple of photos of me and my Dad with Rod, Maxine and Emily. Thanks for the pictures Emily!

Dad and me

I was feeling pretty low at certain points this weekend due to my teething. Friday night, especially, I wasn't feeling very happy so I cuddled with my dad and we took some silly pictures together.

Normally when I get tired of jumping in my jumperoo, I cry to get out. However, I found out this weekend that it's actually not a bad spot for a quick cat nap. When I wake up, I'm ready for another round of jumping!

Finally, I've been eating so much and growing so big. Here's a picture of me looking tough. I may not ever be the biggest guy around but I guarantee that I'll at least be one of the top three toughest guys on my chess team. Ha, ha.

Have a great week gorgers!

Sittin' pretty... with teeth

Just in! New photo evidence of my amazing accomplishments.

First of, I started sort of sitting on my own. I can do it for several seconds before folding in half or just plain falling over.

Check out my chompers. This week oatmeal, next week steak and corn on the cob.

And after that, the world. Roar! All will bow down before George.

Fall is here!

Autumn is here at last! We finally got some cooler weather. Now I get to wear my warmer clothes and go outside for some fresh air. We went on two long walks this weekend and I observed the world from the comfort of my Cougar 1 stroller.

This weekend, our friends, the Lenarts, came over for dinner. Mom and Dad had a great time with Andy and Ursa and I especially had fun with my friend Enzo.

On Saturday, I participated in another experiment at the infant cognition lab. I watched big shapes go into smaller shapes. They wanted to see if I was surprised. I bounced a lot. Does that mean I was surprised? Only the experts can tell, I suppose.

I've also included some photos of me sleeping. With the cooler weather, I'm cuddling with my blankets made by great Grandma Deane. I can't sleep without them. I snuggle them and hold them against my face. They are very warm and cozy. Everyone should have a special blanket like these.

I've been eating oatmeal like a champ. For the first time this weekend, I finished an entire helping, although I got a lot on my face. Yay!

Countdown to my new cousin continues. I can now say that I'm hoping for September 24 but, really, I'm not picky. Just excited.

Owls and oatmeal

Well, gorgers, it's been a few days so I thought I'd give you an update of what's going on with me.

I continue to eat plenty and I'm growing nice and big. I tried oatmeal for the first time on Monday and like it better than that plain old rice cereal. A bit of a stronger flavour for my refined palette.

We went to a baby shower for our friends on the weekend. Only a couple of months before baby Madison gets here. We got her a Bumbo. I hope she has as much fun sitting and looking at the world in hers as I do in mine.

Speaking of new babies, there's another one coming just around the corner. My new cousin is due September 25 so it could be any day now. I can hardly wait. Although I'll just say, I can wait until, say, a certain date and time that I can't say yet because the baby pool guesses haven't been 'officially' released yet by Grampy Pete. However, if he or she could get one board and get born at my time, I'll promise that I'll make it worth their while. C'mon, cos, Georgie needs a new pair of shoes!

In other big news, my two bottom teeth are coming through. I'd like to attach a picture but my parents have a hard enough time holding my mouth open long enough to see my teeth well, much less take a picture of them. In due time, gorgers, in due time.

I've also included a picture of an owl in this entry. He was in our neighbour's backyard the other day. We got a bunch of pictures before we left for the baby shower. When we got back a few hours later, he was still there! Enjoy.

Jump around! Jump around!

After a long weekend of holding me while I jumped up and down, my parents decided they needed a little something to help them out with my new love of: "All Jumping! All the Time!"

Here is a video of me in my brand new jumperoo for the very first time! It took me a couple of minutes to figure out what to do but with the help of a phone book and my mother demonstrating, I quickly got the hang of it.

Jumperoo, I think this could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship. JUMP! JUMP! JUMP! JUMP! JUMP!

Weigh in

I went to my doctor today and weighed in at 12 pounds, 12 ounces. I've been gaining steadily at about an ounce per day which is normal for a baby my age, so I'm working my way back up!

In addition to drinking all my milk, I'm working hard at getting this cereal thing right. Here are a few pictures of me practicing with my spoon and cup, and a video of me seeing action with the real thing.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6RufEFx3148
